Rivah
Interiors is the brain-child of Ron Jewell; a Baby-boomer
who grew up in the Northern Neck of Virginia; a peninsula
located between the Potomac and Rappahannock rivers and ending
at the Chesapeake Bay. Known for its laid back casual
lifestyle, people have come to the Northern Neck to play
,fish, relax, retire or just visit, to escape the frantic pace
of the city. Miles of shoreline on the Northern Neck first
attracted week-enders with their cottages and campers. Because
the pace at their week-end retreat was slow, casual, and
relaxed, they referred to this area as "The Rivah" ( a
relaxed way of saying river).
Rivah Interiors was founded on this very principle.
Relaxed, casual and friendly, the entire store emits the air
of welcome. From first entry, Ron, his wife Marjorie or
another member of the staff will greet you with a smile and a
friendly "Hello", not... "How may I help you? (Translation:
What can I sell you?) No, just Hello, how are you,? (And
perhaps the offer of a bottle of water or some other
libation.) Relaxed? You bet; Jimmy Buffett on the stereo.
Summertime finds Ron in shorts and flowered shirts. No fancy
suits and ties here. (He does wear shoes, unlike Jimmy)
Relaxed but very serious about providing you with the best
selection of casual furnishings anywhere. From fully
upholstered sofas, chairs and ottomans to rattan living and
dining furniture, American made bedroom furniture, outdoor
wicker, rattan, cast aluminum, pool and patio sling furniture
and outdoor kitchens. Oh! And Adirondack chairs made from
recycled plastic in twenty different colors.
